Conference Coordinator

Hey everyone, I’m Maggie (she/her) and I’m overseeing all the committees and their members for our event.

I’m a 3rd year PhD student in materials science and engineering🔬. I’m also Battery Journal Club vice president 🔋, Graduate Society of Women Engineers mentoring match coordinator, and a teacher volunteer at CNSI!👩🏻‍🏫

I love to run🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️; my first marathon was in LA last march, and I’m planning on running for Girls Inc. NYC at the NYC marathon! Also, my favorite sport is baseball⚾️. I spend a lot of time with family & friends watching together.

Hi everyone! I’m Zoe (she/her), and I’m on the Mentorship Chair.

I’m a 4rd year PhD student in the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences department🌊. I’m also COO of the Society of Women Geoscientists🧑🏻‍🔬, and a Center for Diverse Leadership in Science fellow.

I love running, biking, swimming, yoga, and snuggling with my cat, Nova🐈!

I’m a 2nd year graduate student studying Environmental Engineering🌱. I’m also event organizer for the Graduate Society of Women Engineers (GradSWE), and External VP of the Engineering Graduate Students Association here at UCLA.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, playing board games, cooking (& eating😋) food, and sports🏐🏊🏻‍♀️!

I’m a 3rd year PhD student studying Chemical Biology here at UCLA🧪🧑🏼‍🔬. Also, I’m co-president of the Organization for Cultural Diversity in Science (OCDS), and president of the Graduate Chemistry & Biochemistry Graduate Student Association (CBGSA).

In my free time, I love being outdoors, baking, and hanging out with my cats Charlie and Asher!😸

Hi y’all! My name’s Sara (she/her), and I’m on the Day 3 planning committee!

I’m a senior undergraduate👩🏽‍🎓 studying physics, and minoring in math & environmental engineering🍃. This year, I’m president of Women+ in the Physical Sciences (W+PS).

I also love being outdoors & climbing🧗🏽‍♀️, and playing music🎹. I’m excited to help bring our events to everyone!🎉

I’m a 2nd year Computer Science PhD student studying deep representation learning and multi modal machine understanding 🤓. Prior to UCLA I was in the tech industry for a few years, before deciding to focus primarily on research.

I’m chair of the UCLA graduate women in CS (gWiCS) organization and am passionate about creating an ✨ inclusive space that others can thrive in. In my spare time I enjoy archery, reading, and adventures with my cat, Toast 🐈 .
